Frank Hansen rests after a long trek

I was glad to have along my ultra light weight Super Guide sleeping bag from Slumberjack. It is the perfect balance of lightweight and warm with it synthetic Thermolite insulation. The Super Guide is part of the "go light go fast" series of sleeping bags. The idea is the lighter your pack and the faster you can go. The faster you go the more ground you can cover. My light pack came in handy when one of the boys began to struggle I took almost 15lb of his gear... We were also witness to one of the worst wash-outs the rangers had seen in years. The summer monsoons brought loads of moisture up from the south and dumped it on us in a matter of minutes. I was glad to have along my Taku Bivy Sack also from Slumberjack and I was dry and warm the whole time. all in all it was a good time and I look forward to doing it again next year.
